TIMOTEA
Animation Thesis Project
"TIMOTEA" is about an autistic girl on her journey to acceptance. A story with the intention to represent autistic women and other realities barely depicted in media such as disabled people of color, non-binary folks, etc.
This project is very personal to me, since this character was mainly based on my experiences with the world as a late-diagnosed autistic woman, but I also made sure it could be relatable to the autistic and neurodivergent community. Here you can see the final short and the process through concept art and storyboard!
Remember: Autism is a wide spectrum, and each and every one of us is a individual with our own motivations, challenges and strengths.
